The ascent from Zadnjica to Prehodavci is considered one of the most beautiful routes in the Slovenian Alps. From the very beginning, the trail climbs steadily out of the quiet valley, gaining more than 1500 meters of elevation and leading you into a world of rock, silence, and wide horizons. It’s a demanding hike, but every step brings you deeper into the spectacular high-mountain scenery of Triglav National Park.
Above the forest, the terrain becomes more open and rugged. Short exposed sections add a touch of excitement, yet the path remains safe and well-maintained. As you rise higher, the mountains begin to open around you — airy ledges, stone slopes, and the unmistakable feeling of being truly high in the Alpine world. The views are phenomenal throughout: twe see majestic mountains all around us.
The final approach to Prehodavci feels almost surreal. The landscape becomes quiet and expansive, shaped by stone and sky.
